The 3rd graders built catapults in Science yesterday. They launched marshmallows in the gym to test them out.
On Wednesday, the Kindergarten and PreK-4 class got to visit the fire station. While there we got to learn about the vehicles and tools used by firefighters, EMTs, and police officers. Thank you to Micah Rogers, Kayla Robinson, Jeremy Webb, Officer Webb, and Officer Scott for helping us learn more about their jobs as community helpers.
In the spring of 2023 USD 311 was awarded a waste tire grant from the Kansas Department of Health!

The Storybook Pumpkin Patch is back at the Grade School library! If your student would like to participate they can help by decorating a pumpkin to look like one of their favorite book characters and bringing it to school with them any time after Oct. 9th and up to Oct. 20th! Then come take a walk through our pumpkin patch after your parent/teacher conferences to check out what we have grown!
