On Friday last week, Mrs. Tercero's Ref Rep students earned their basketball certificates for officiating! Earlier this month, referee Lee Kendall came to talk to Mrs. Tercero’s Ref Reps class. He talked about his experiences in officiating and gave students advice on what to expect.

The high school cheerleaders presented Jewelynn and PPHS girls' golf coach Mr. Ray with gift bags this morning!
Jewelynn and Mr. Ray will head to Emporia this weekend for the KSHSAA 3-1A high school girls' state golf tournament next week.

Better late than never!!! Here's the PPHS volleyball schedule for this evening!


Sophomore Jewelynn Reese qualified for the KSHAA 3-1A Girls State Golf Tournament this afternoon!!!
She placed 10th overall out of 43 golfers and scored a 108 (+36) on an 18-hole course at the KSHAA 3-1A Cheney Regional.
The 3-1A state tournament will be held on Oct. 21-22 at the Emporia Municipal Golf Course in Emporia!

The 5th grade class attended Fire Prevention Day at the Sedgwick County Zoo last week!. Students learned about fire safety, watched a Jaws of Life demonstration, visited many emergency management stations, and even lifted Mr. Tom Goering into the air using a pulley system. It was a great day!

We are so proud of all our seniors!



Pretty Prairie High School hosted an Apply Kansas Day event for all students grades 9-12 on Tuesday, Oct. 8. 13 Pretty Prairie High School seniors applied to colleges and technical institutes for free. Underclassmen had the opportunity to visit with representatives from numerous schools.
According to the Kansas Board of Regents, Kansans can apply for free on Oct. 7-Oct. 9 to all of the state's public universities, community colleges, technical colleges and the 21 private member institutions of the Kansas Independent College Association.
