5th grade has had an exciting week of learning! They put their knowledge of fractions to use making cookies. Groups had to solve problems to determine the amount of each ingredient before mixing and baking the cookies. All batches turned out delicious! In Science they learned about chemical reactions. They tested substances to figure out which made goo, then made slime. They also learned about explosions by mixing vinegar and baking soda in a baggie.
